ESOP XVIII

18th European Symposium on Occultation Projects

August 5 - 11, 1999,

On occasion of the total eclipse on August 11, 1999,
this symposium was organized by the

Carl-Zeiss-Planetarium Stuttgart

and the

Schwäbische Sternwarte e.V.

on behalf of the

International Occultation Timing Association - European Section ( IOTA-ES)

in Stuttgart, Germany.

This symposium is a forum for all amateur and professional astronomers interested in occultations and eclipses by celestial bodies of our solar system. The official languages are English and German.

The symposium is being organized in Stuttgart, a city with about 560,000 inhabitants and a surrounding of more than two million people. Stuttgart is located in south-west Germany. It is the capital of the state of Baden-Württemberg.
